This month we are featuring Stacie Grasberger, Associate in the Cornerstone practice at Educe.

What do you do in your day-to-day role?

In my day to day role I am an Engagement Manager and Implementation Consultant for the Cornerstone practice specializing in Performance and Succession Management.

What skills does your current job require? How have you mastered those skills?

My role requires skills such as: organization, interpersonal, business analysis, business/system requirement documentation and testing, communication, documentation, Talent Management best practices and Cornerstone on Demand (CSOD) system knowledge.

I have been a business analyst for many years and continue to apply the practices I’ve learned along the way. I keep up with industry blogs, webinars, and trends regularly to stay current with Talent Management practices. I also learn by participating in projects with clients and peers at Educe – most of my experience and skills can be attributed to on-the-job learning.

What advice would you give to others working in Educe Group about how to succeed in the organization?

Be curious, ask questions, use your resources (including internal resources, communities, your peers, not just those on your project). I have found that our company is a wealth of knowledge and experience and our teammates LOVE to help and collaborate. No one expects you to know everything. Leverage the skills around you as well as your own. I would also recommend maintaining relationships with clients and peers to be successful.

What project/s are you most proud of?

Currently I am the proudest of the You Grow, We Grow (continuous Performance Management) campaign that my colleague Kiki and I collaborated on. It was a very creative project that took us out of our day-to-day roles and expanded our skills sets in ways we had never considered! We spent time designing signs for the U.S. campuses that thousands of associates view daily, we collaborated on digital messaging and we organized the delivery of giveaways across multiple sites and user populations.

How do you successfully build relationships with clients?

For me, I am a people person. I truly care about people and try to understand their perspective and help them (to help themselves). I try to exercise kindness combined with my passion for teaching and learning. Most of our day is spent with our clients and peers, so it’s important to get to know them and collaborate in a way that works for the team.

What do you feel sets us apart from other consulting firms?

I love how collaborative and encouraging our firm is – I am comfortable reaching out to anyone for help and guidance. Everyone in Educe is happy to share and roll up their sleeves to help, no matter their level. Everywhere I turn I see a mentor in one way or another. I can learn something from everyone in our firm and I look forward to that opportunity. There is a genuine concern about each other as people, beyond work – this does not exist in all firms.

What are your hobbies/interests outside of work?

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I am a certified Group Fitness, TRX, barre and indoor cycle instructor. I enjoy teaching and taking fitness classes. One other passion of mine is exploring our town and our local businesses – supporting and being a part of the community.
